CFC Members Quiz: Gözde Filinta

Call for Curators is glad to present the Members Quiz – a series of weekly online events on Instagram Live in which we introduce CFC Members to our digital audiences. Through this new format, we aim to spotlight Members of our community, showcase the diversity of their curatorial interests and specialisms, and facilitate new networks of influences and potential exchanges.

Gözde Filinta (1989) is an art historian, researcher, curator, and writer between Istanbul and Kassel. She took part in many various art projects since 2012, including The Moving Museum 2014 and Yama Istanbul 2016. Between 2017 and 2018, she worked at SALT as a program assistant and as the Communication Manager at the off space, OJ Art Space, Istanbul. In 2019, she began to realize research-based curatorial projects by collaborating with people and institutions and writing on contemporary art, art history, ecology, and post-human discourse. She is currently working with documenta fifteen as an assistant curator. Her upcoming freelance projects include ION, Dirty Laundry, an international project in Athens, and Aşina, an EU-funded artist publications project in Turkey. She is part of the curatorial team in Mikro_Zurich and curator in theurbanarts collective.
