Ibrahim Nehme Named Director of Beirut Art Center
Ibrahim Nehme has been appointed as the new Director of Beirut Art Center (BAC).
A New Management Structure
Moving forward, BAC will adopt a different management structure. The Director will prioritize fundraising and operational endeavors to ensure financial stability and proficient management. In this newly redefined role, the Director will collaborate with an advisory committee to set the artistic vision and invite curators to organize exhibitions and events at BAC.
Ibrahim Nehme’s Vision and Experience
Ibrahim brings extensive experience in communications and a strong strategic vision. He will work closely with the team and the Board to ensure the Center’s continued commitment to its mission and realization of its maximum potential in a sustainable manner. Additionally, Ibrahim will actively seek new local and global partnerships while further developing an active outreach initiative.
About Ibrahim Nehme
Ibrahim Nehme is a Lebanese writer and multidisciplinary creative. He is the founding editor of the internationally acclaimed The Outpost magazine and a co-creator of several initiatives in independent publishing and new media, including the Kiteverse app, Radio Mansion, and A Dance Mag. Over the past decade, Ibrahim has explored new models of sustainable funding and self-organizing to help arts and cultural institutions maximize their impact. His experience has reinforced his belief in radical imagination as a path to collective liberation and in the role of the cultural sector in facilitating such transformation.
