Call for Curatorial Roundtable
Curator Francesco Bonami meets with SVA MA Curatorial Practice fellows in a session of the Curatorial Roundtable.
Call for Curatorial Roundtable
The MA Curatorial Practice at the School of Visual Arts in New York includes what is called the Curatorial Roundtable. The Roundtable is a session with our students of approximately 90 minutes, during which a guest curator discusses the formation of her or his practice along with notable and recent projects. This session allows our students to learn about different practices from around the world in a relaxed setting that allows ample time for conversation. Practical information about individual practices is crucial to a realistic understanding of the profession, and these sessions lead to ongoing connections between the guests and new generations of curators who go on to their own practices across the globe. We would like to broaden this network by reaching out to invite international curators who are passing through New York for other work and research and can find time to join us for a session (always at 4 or 5 pm on Wednesdays). Curators should have a minimum of five years of exhibitions and programming post-graduation on their CV, either within institutions or as independent curators. If you are interested, please send your CV and when you intend to be in New York.
