Collection Curator/ Registrar – Shepparton Art Museum, Australia.

Salary: $67,029.04 or pro rata for part time

An excellent opportunity awaits an experienced and dedicated Collection Curator/ Registrar at this leading regional art museum. Shepparton Art Museum (SAM) holds an extensive art and ceramics collection and is actively acquiring contemporary art.

SAM reopened in early 2012 following a major capital redevelopment including new state of the art climate control, lighting and collection storage.

Since reopening SAM has asserted a strong new identity and an ambitious schedule of exhibitions and public programs which place it at the forefront of Australian art museums and galleries.

The Collection Curator/Registrar will join the SAM team at an exciting time, and in addition to collection care and research will be expected to take an active role in the management of substantial exhibition projects and provide input into future collection hangs, exhibitions, publications and public programs more generally.

Importantly this position will also play an integral role in the development of online and mobile resources for access to the gallerys collection.
