Curatorial Programme Manager

Impressions Gallery, Bradford, UK

£25,000 to £28,000, depending on experience.
Full-time (37.5 hours).

Impressions Gallery is a charity that helps people understand the world through photography. Established in 1972, we have grown to become one of the UK’s leading centres for photography.

We are seeking to appoint a Curatorial Programme Manager to work as part of our small and dedicated team.

The Curatorial Programme Manager will manage our programme of innovative, thought-provoking photographic exhibitions, commissions, touring and other projects that realise the gallery’s artistic vision, and its commitment to diverse, and often marginalised, audiences. Other key responsibilities include overseeing and implementing our press and marketing strategy, supporting our learning, engagement and event programmes, and championing Impressions Gallery nationally and internationally.

We are looking for a dynamic, creative and ambitious individual, who is highly organised and able to balance multiple projects and priorities. Applicants must have relevant photographic knowledge and experience of working within a professional contemporary visual arts environment.

For further information and details of how to apply please download the Application Pack from our website https://www.impressions-gallery.com/opportunity/curatorial-programme-manager/

Closing date: Monday 22 November 2021 at midday.

Interviews will be held Thursday 2 December 2021 via Zoom.

Final stage candidates will be invited to a further in-person interview at Impressions Gallery on Friday 10 December 2021.

We encourage people from any background to apply for this post. We want to create a workforce which is representative of our society and brings together those with a variety of skills and experiences to help shape what we do and how we work. Disabled people and those of ethnically diverse heritage are under-represented in the cultural sector, so we particularly encourage applications from people in these groups.
