* In March 2008, Zweigstelle Berlin moved to Lehrter Str. 37 in the centre of Berlin, close to the Hamburger Bahnhof – Museum für Gegenwart, and has since then exhibited the gallery’s own artists, curated group projects and participated in different art fairs (Scope Basel, Preview Berlin, Art Karlsruhe etc. ). In the immediate neighbourhood of Zweigstelle Berlin you find the headquarters of Sauerbruch Hutton, as well as the studios of Katharina Grosse, Karin Sander etc., an important collection, contemporary galleries and the new home of Kaspar König, the well-known curator and former director of Museum Ludwig, Cologne.
Zweigstelle Berlin is thus positioned in a place where cultural synergies are produced and is integrated in the wide urban structures of Berlin-Moabit. The exhibitions are presented in the light and liberally divided 100 m2 large space – a dynamic meeting place for contemporary art.
Curators@Zweigstelle Berlin began 2012 with „Toronto/Berlin 1982-2012“ (curated by Henrjeta Mece / Rae Johnson), Kanada, „Found Memories“, (curated by Coren Cooper), USA and Galerie Bart @ Zweigstelle Berlin (curated by Moni Siegfried), Netherlands.
