Director of Exhibitions
The Southwest School of Art seeks an experienced individual to direct the exhibitions program at the school.

Qualifications include: demonstrated curatorial and writing skills in the area of contemporary art, administrative experience with outstanding supervisory and organizational skills, and appreciation for working with colleagues, faculty and students to enhance the mission of the Southwest School of Art.
The director of exhibitions reports directly to the president and is a member of the administrative leadership team of the Southwest School of Art. Salary and benefits are commensurate with experience.
The Southwest School of Art was established in 1965 as a studio school for the regional community and introduced a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree program in 2014. Studio departments include: ceramics, fibers, metals, painting and drawing, papermaking and book arts, photography, printmaking, sculpture and integrated media, which are housed in state‐of‐ the‐art facilities on two adjacent campuses in downtown San Antonio. The Southwest School of Art is a non‐collecting institution, though a small, de facto collection is managed by the director of exhibitions. Changing exhibitions are installed in the 3,500 square foot, Russell Hill Rogers Galleries and in various other locations on both campuses.
