This residence is dedicated to the discussion, research and interventions related to the emergence and consolidation of contemporary art scenes in Latin America.
Curatoría Forense and NoMÍNIMO proudly announce the open call for the 2013 Internacional Contemporary Art Residency to be held in Guayaquil – Ecuador (15 to 26 January).
Since 2010, Curatoría Forense, a Latinamerican work-group dedicated to contemporary art, has coordinated nine editions -in collaboration with local partners- in Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Chile and Ecuador. The participation of more than 100 artists, curators, art researchers and other cultural agents related to the field and the collaboration of over 200 cultural agents -who made possible the production of public conversations, debates, interventions and other activities- make this program a unique opportunity to experience how contemporary art take place in different contexts.
Participation Terms:
– Open call for contemporary visual artists, art historians and researchers, curators, art managers and other cultural workers.
– Participants: 15 people.
– Cost by participant: US$250.
– Includes: Accommodation for 12 days in community dorms and breakfast.
– Does not include the transportation expenses to and from the residency location. .
