Guest Curator Exhibtion Program

The Guest Curator Exhibition Program has just one opening per year.  After the selection process, recipients of the Guest Curator Exhibition schedule a subsidized 2-3 week exhibition at Trestle Gallery during the 2013 season.

The curator receives free access to the gallery, an opening reception, a gallery sitter throughout the exhibition, an exhibition catalogue, gallery labels, and extensive marketing services—including flyers, prominent space on trestlegallery.org, and an e-mail invitation to over 4,000 e-mail subscribers.  During the reception, the guest curator is provided with access to a sound system with an iPod-ready hookup, a utility sink, and garbage removal. A staff member will be present throughout the reception. Trestle Gallery/Brooklyn Art Space receives a 30% commission on all artwork sold.

About Trestle Gallery

Trestle Gallery is a 900 square foot exhibition space with diverse activities.  Trestle Gallery presents 15-20 exhibitions per year, four of which are exclusive to BAS members.  Figure drawing takes place four times a week in this space, as do regular artist talks and professional development workshops. Gallery hours are Monday through Friday, 11AM – 6PM and Saturdays by appointment.
