Role Overview
The Head of Programmes is a key leadership role, responsible for overseeing the live performance programme. This position plays a critical role in elevating the Albany’s cultural presence both regionally and nationally. The role involves implementing the new Creative Strategy, with an emphasis on co-creation.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in producing or programming across various artforms. An enterprising and collaborative approach is essential. Key skills include strong project management, effective communication, and a firm belief in the arts as a catalyst for social change.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with the Head of Engagement and the Head of Business Development to deliver the updated strategy.
- Develop and oversee a diverse programme of live performances, including music, comedy, and family-oriented events.
- Enhance the Albany’s status as a cultural incubator, fostering artist-led, youth-led, community-led, and co-created projects.
- Support new regional and national strategic projects to continue the success of initiatives like We Are Lewisham.
