Research Associate for Art Education (m/f/d)
Salary Group 10 TVöD, Part-time with 19.5 hours per week, Permanent
at the Municipal Gallery Haus Coburg as soon as possible.
The Municipal Gallery “Haus Coburg” is an internationally oriented space for 20th and 21st-century art. Its program consists of changing solo and group exhibitions, presentations of the art collection, a diverse educational offering, and a vibrant art education program for children, youth, and adults. Since 2023, there has been a second location, the Artothek in the city center, where practical art workshops are held weekly. Participation and inclusion are key areas of our educational work, and we are looking for a creative, enthusiastic, and trustworthy colleague (m/f/d) to join our team.
Your main responsibilities:
- Academic conception, planning, and implementation of participatory and inclusive art education formats for diverse target groups (e.g., schools, kindergartens, youth centers, seniors, adult education centers, companies)
- Realization of formats aligned with school curricula
- Communication and coordination with freelance educators in the art education program
- Conducting public tours and workshops
- Expanding and maintaining contacts with educational institutions in Delmenhorst and surrounding areas (e.g., Oldenburg and Bremen)
- Securing sponsorships and acquiring third-party funding for art education projects
- Budget responsibility for third-party funded projects
- Writing professional texts, project proposals for funding applications, as well as press and event texts for public relations; supporting the creation of annual reports and financial documentation

Our expectations by the time of hiring:
- A completed university degree in art history, art studies, art education, or a similar relevant field
- Proven experience in educational work at an exhibition institution
Additionally, you should bring:
- Outstanding creativity, high level of commitment, and self-initiative
- Strong sense of responsibility and decision-making skills
- Independent working style
- Flexibility in working hours, possibly including evenings and weekends
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in German, as well as proficiency in another language (e.g., English, Arabic, or Russian)
Preferred qualifications:
- Established network within the art and cultural scene
- Experience in acquiring third-party funding and sponsorships
