Seeking Director of Programming

Description and responsibilities:
Reporting to and working closely with the Director and Chief Curator, the Director of Programming plans, organizes, directs and oversees the activities of the various sections of the Art and Education Department: the Permanent Collection, temporary exhibitions, travelling exhibitions, public programs, conservation laboratory, multimedia events, education services and technical services. The Director of Programming is involved in shaping museum policies, particularly those pertaining to programming, collections, conservation and related research. He/She organizes exhibitions, plans and manages the Musée’s acquisition program and exhibition catalogue content, and develops a cultural action program. Together with the Director and Chief Curator, the Director of Programming develops the Musée’s collections, oversees scholarly research on works and exhibition content, and administers the financial, material and human resources of the Art and Education Department.
