The Centre for Chinese Contemporary Art – Director
The Centre for Chinese Contemporary Art (CFCCA) is leading the UK in exploring a changing international dynamic through art. Working with a wide array of partners and the best creative talent, we create a year round, lively and innovative programme of exhibitions, residencies, engagement projects, festivals, symposia and events, aimed at a broad cross-section of the population.
CFCCA was recently awarded funding as an Arts Council National Portfolio Organisation for 2015/18 and is one of the highest funded visual arts organisations in the North West.
Reporting to the chair and board the Director leads a small team of full time staff and freelancers to provide overall artistic and strategic direction for the organisation and to ensure the effective management of Centre’s operations, activities and finances.
Applicants must have substantial current knowledge of artistic practice and key developments in the field of contemporary visual arts within the UK and internationally, strong knowledge of contemporary Chinese visual arts, a track record of partnership working, fundraising and business management and experience of leading an arts organisation, project or department similar to CFCCA’s size and complexity.
