The Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco are seeking 15 interns to participate in paid internships this summer. In collaboration with Opportunities for All: Pathways to Economic Inclusion for Youth, the Museums will host paid summer internships for youth, ages 18 – 24 years, living in San Francisco.
Opportunities for All: Pathways to Economic Inclusion for Youth is an initiative of the City and County of San Francisco to expose, prepare and connect diverse youth to employment, training, and work based-opportunities. This program is a partnership with San Francisco Unified School District and sponsored by the Japanese Community Youth Council.
Each intern will be placed with one host department and will learn about that field and the inner workings of a world class museum. Host departments will provide projects, mentorship, goal setting, and mid and final evaluations.

Intern Training: 1st week of internship program will take place during the week June 18th
Schedule: The internship is from June 18 through August 9, 2019, for a total of 80 hours. The exact weekly schedule will vary, but will be 8-10 hours per week, with flexibility to accommodate both the interns and host departments. Weekly professional development sessions are included in this program.
This internship is paid at $15 per hour.
Requirements:
- San Francisco youth between the ages of 18-24 who have a permanent residence in San Francisco.
