List Visual Arts Center, to oversee and develop–under the supervision of the curator and director–the collections and public art projects, including the research, acquisition, exhibition, writing, and education surrounding MIT’s world-class Public Art Collection, as well as its Permanent Collection and vibrant Student Loan Art Program. Will research, write, and edit didactic texts and publications for collection works; and work with the public programs manager on developing and implementing curatorial public programs to complement the List’s collections.

Job Requirements
bachelor’s degree (master’s preferred) in art history, curatorial studies, museum studies, or arts administration; at least three years’ curatorial work experience; experience with the implementation of public art; expertise in contemporary art and broad knowledge of and engagement with international contemporary art and art scene; ability to foster and maintain collegial interactions between the List director and staff and larger MIT community; strong organizational, administrative, and written and oral communication skills; ability to manage multiple projects and coordinate their various teams in a fast-paced work environment; and proficiency with Microsoft Office (including Excel) and Adobe Creative (including Photoshop).
