This is a great opportunity to join a busy and creative Learning team. The team aims to inspire new ways to engage with art and Tate’s collection, reflect the diversity of artistic and cultural practices, and the communities of which we are a part.
We are looking for an Assistant Curator, Interpretation, who is committed to making Tate’s exhibitions and displays engaging and informative for all our visitors.
In this role you will work collaboratively with colleagues to make complex ideas accessible and relevant to a wide range of audiences. You will help to produce interpretation resources for artworks on display at Tate Britain and Tate Modern, including labels and leaflets.
To be successful in the role you will be skilled in writing or editing text content for public-facing resources. You will also be proactive in considering inclusivity, equality and diversity in your work. You will be a confident communicator, able to collaborate diplomatically and effectively with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels.
Tate aims to attract and retain talented people from all backgrounds. We particularly encourage applications from black, ethnic minority, and/or disabled applicants as these groups are currently underrepresented in the cultural sector.
