The V&A is looking for an Assistant Curator with a keen interest in architecture and urbanism to join its Design, Architecture and Digital Department.
Design, Architecture and Digital is a curatorial department directed to the subjects of contemporary architecture and urbanism, product design and digital design. This team’s activities are focused on discipline and object-based expertise, on developing the collection and making it accessible through exhibitions, displays, galleries, the web, traditional publications and events. Design, Architecture and Digital is a department motivated by the civic role of the museum in contemporary society and works as a team to collect and exhibit objects that tell stories about design and society.
The Assistant Curator will perform a vital role in the Design, Architecture and Digital Department’s everyday operations. Assistant Curators utilise specialist skills, knowledge and experience to care for the V&A’s collections on display and in store, and to open up those collections to a broad audience both within the V&A and beyond.
