The appointee will play the leading role in organizing, and developing the narrative for, an exhibition in the University of Edinburgh that commemorates the 200th anniversary of the Greek Revolution and is provisionally entitled ‘Edina / Athena – 1821 / 2021: The Greek Revolution and Edinburgh as the “Modern Athens”’. In addition to identifying suitable exhibits from collections within and without Edinburgh, the postholder’s main tasks will be to communicate effectively the exhibition narrative to an academic and lay audience via various media. The appointee will have access to curatorial and academic advice from within and without the University. Experience in – or interest in, and the ability and willingness to learn very fast – exhibition organisation will be considered an asset.

This is a part time (17.5hrs per week), fixed term role, commencing August 2020 through to the end of December, 2021.
Salary is £33,797 – £40,322, per annum, pro rata.
