Curatorial Fellow (Jerwood Creative Bursaries Programme 2020-22)
Job Title: Curatorial Fellow
Contract terms: Part-time, 4 days per week, 12 months fixed-term
Period: February 2021 – February 2022
Pay: £19,500 pro rata, real living wage
We want to recruit a new Curatorial Fellow to work with us. We host a free programme of public exhibitions and events, and our building in Birmingham is home to 22 artists in the studios. We support learning, creating numerous contexts for art and life to intersect. Our work places an emphasis on the importance of collaboration and long-term artistic research. Many of these projects take place outside of the gallery, across the city of Birmingham through our Collaborative Programme. The role will involve working across our entire programme.
This role is specifically an entry-level opportunity for an individual from a socio-economic background currently underrepresented in the arts. It is part of a wider programme called the Weston Jerwood Creative Bursaries, which is designed and run by Jerwood Arts.
The closing date for all applicants is: 5pm on Friday 11 December 2020
We will contact all long-listed candidates by: 5pm on Friday 18 December 2020
