Fixed term – 3 days, 21 hours per week (8-month contract)
Starting salary of £14,766 (FTE £24,610) per annum inclusive of London weighting (dependent on skills and experience)
One of the leading art spaces in the UK, Barbican Art Gallery, presents the best of international visual art with a dynamic mix of modern and contemporary art, architecture, design and photography. We also have a second space, The Curve, which is dedicated to a vibrant programme of new commissions by leading international artists.
The Art Gallery are looking for an experienced and highly motivated individual to provide support to the Curatorial team on a major forthcoming exhibition of post war British art. The Curatorial Assistant will assist with administration and research across the exhibition, with an emphasis on the contributions of émigré artists and those of African and Asian descent.
The successful candidate will have demonstrable experience working in an art gallery, curatorial work and/or published writing, with strong research skills.
