The Arts Training Abroad grants annually support academic training, theoretical research, or technical training and artistic improvement in the visual arts, performing arts, music, and film.
Aimed at graduates or professionals with a relevant curriculum in one of the artistic areas.
Conditions for Eligibility
- Graduates or professionals who have a relevant curriculum in the artistic area in which they wish to specialize.
- National and foreign citizens, provided they have been permanent residents in Portugal for at least two years;
The following applications have priority:
- Candidates at the beginning of their artistic career;
- Applications to attend educational establishments;
- Areas for which there is no training offer in Portugal;
- In the case of music, applications in the areas of orchestral instruments, singing and piano.
Grant conditions
Period of 3 to 12 months, subject to renewal;
Monthly amount of 1.500 euros for Euro Zone countries, defined on a case by case basis for other destinations;
1,000 euros for installation expenses, participation in congresses and seminars;
500 for travel in European countries or defined case by case for other destinations;
5,000 for tuition fees, paid upon presentation of proof;
Personal accident insurance.
