The “GALLERIA SACCHETTI” has existed for over 30 years and has become an important voice in Ascona. The focus of Galleria Berno SACCHETTI AG is on the presentation and sale of national and international contemporary artistic positions. The Galleria sees itself as a lively place of communication and encounter with art and culture.

To complement our small team, we are looking for an enthusiastic person to join us immediately as

Co-Director (100%)

Your profile:

• A university degree in curating, art history, cultural management or comparable.
• Several years of experience in independent project management as well as in the planning and supervision of art & culture projects and/or cultural interventions
• Several years of experience in advising and accompanying clients and artists in the field of art and culture

Our requirements:

• exceptional expertise in contemporary art
• creative flair and a high degree of innovative ideas with regard to the further development of the gallery’s content  
• extensive personal network in the art market and gallery business
• enjoyment of contact with clients, as well as exchange with artists of the gallery 
• organisational skills
• Independent and self-reliant way of working
• willingness to work in a small team 
• Italian and other languages are an advantage
• Willingness to work on Saturdays and selected public holidays 

Your area of responsibility:

• Support in the selection of artists for the exhibition programme or other artistic interventions.
• Administrative management of the gallery (salaries, pricing, invoicing artists, client invoices, budget planning, etc.)
• Conception and organisation of exhibitions, events, fairs, transports
• You will look after our clients personally on site but also online 
• Assistance in setting up exhibitions, participating in fairs, deliveries (driving licence an advantage) 
• Communication and public relations
