Residency Grant
About Artis
Artis supports contemporary artists and curators from Israel whose work addresses aesthetic, social, and political questions that inspire reflection and debate. Artis is a nonprofit organization based in New York.
Guidelines and Eligibility Requirements
Residency grants are awarded to visual artists and curators from Israel who have been accepted to an artist residency program outside of Israel. The grants, up to $5,000, may be used to cover any costs associated with a residency, including but not limited to fees, travel, living expenses, and supplies. Residencies may take place in person or be held virtually. In their application, applicants should explain how the program will be executed, and share plans to follow travel advisories and safety protocol set in place due to the COVID-19 pandemic. If the residency is held virtually, applicants should explain how they plan to work on projects, as well as related programming and professional development opportunities, during the residency. Please read the residency grants Frequently Asked Questions for a complete list of eligibility requirements and information on how to apply.
Application process
Applications are accepted on a rolling basis for residencies taking place in 2022 and 2023, and responses are given within three months.
