National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art Korea
The National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, Korea (MMCA) is hosting an international research programme for museum professionals. This programme was initiated as a part of the Cultural Partnership Initiative (CPI) Project supported by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Korea. Participants of this programme have been mainly curators of contemporary art museums.
The research programme aims to provide a sustainable platform for initiating dialogues and developing a comprehensive network among contemporary art professionals.
The programme will run for 10 weeks from 29 September – 8 December 2022 and involves:
- Individual research in connection with Korean modern and contemporary art.
- Visiting museums, galleries and art institutions.
- Meeting contemporary art professionals in Korea.
- Attending contemporary art-related events and conferences.
Eligibility:
- Individuals who work in related fields of modern and contemporary art, such as museum professionals, curators, art historians, and art critics.
- Researchers who hold citizenship in the ODA recipient countries.
- Aged between 25 and 45.
- Good use of English language.
- Individuals who have a high interest in cultural exchange.
The programme covers round-trip airfare in economy class from the airport near the participant’s place of residence to Seoul, South Korea, as well as accommodation and a stipend pf 900,000 Korean won (675 EUR) per month.
