The Art History Section of the Faculty of Letters of the University of Lausanne is inviting the position of associate professor in the history of contemporary art.
Entry into office: August 1, 2023
Duration of contract: 6 years, renewable
Activity rate: 100%
Place of work: Lausanne-Dorigny
Your activities
– Teaching load of 6 hours per week (courses and seminars at BA or MA level).
– Supervision of students, taking charge of exams.
– Supervision of dissertations and theses.
– Participation in the specialization programs of the Faculty and in the doctoral programs of the CUSO.
– Individual research; development of collective research projects.
– Participation in research activities and administrative tasks within the Section and the Faculty.
Your profile
– Doctor of Letters in History of Contemporary Art and habilitation (in countries where it exists) or qualification deemed equivalent.
– University teaching experience at all levels.
– Publication of at least two books or a dossier of publications deemed equivalent.
– Ability to obtain subsidies and third-party funding.
– Experience working in a team.
– In coordination with the team in place, the incumbent will teach the history of contemporary art in all its breadth. Nevertheless, in order to reinforce the skills already present, she/he will present a specialization in the field of 20th century art, with an emphasis on creation before the 1970s.
