Salary:£40,000 per year

Tate’s vision is to serve as artistically adventurous and culturally inclusive art museums for the UK and the world. We deliver this through activities in our four galleries across the UK (Tate Liverpool, Tate St Ives, Tate Britain and Tate Modern), our digital platforms and collaborations with our national and international partners. At the heart of Tate is our collection of art, which includes British art from the 16th century to the present day, and international modern art from 1900 to the present day.
This is an excellent opportunity to become a key player in the newly established D.Daskalopoulos Collection Gift. In 2022, Tate was generously gifted a very important group of significant artworks from the D.Daskalopoulos Collection. The D.Daskalopoulos Collection Gift comprises many of the best known contemporary artists from Greece and internationally, with a particular focus on installation and sculpture.
Working directly with the Director of Collection, International Art, this exciting new position offers the chance to play a leading role in helping Tate to fulfil its ambition of rethinking the history of modern and contemporary art by incorporating and using the D.Daskalopoulos Collection Gift within the programme framework across all Tate sites. You will also represent the Collection Gift and develop strong working relationships internally and externally, in particular the post will support developing a collaboration with the National Museum of Contemporary Art, Athens.
You will combine your creativity and management acumen with an ability to work collaboratively and make an effective contribution to how the D.Daskalopoulos Collection Gift is thought about, understood and used at Tate. With an inclusive leadership style, you will possess the ability to inspire your colleagues, share your expertise and motivate and support the development of the programme and contribute to the overall vision of Tate.
With excellent programme management skills, you will have outstanding interpersonal and negotiating skills with the ability to communicate diplomatically and effectively at all levels, and with a wide variety of stakeholders.
This position is offered on a three year fixed-term contract.
