The Haus der Kunst is a public museum without its own collection and a leading global center for contemporary art. As soon as possible, we are looking for a digital manager in the area of communication. The position must be filled full-time ( 40 hours / week ).
The position is part of the Communication team, which consists of a specialist in press, marketing and digital communication as well as a team assistant, a video producer and two volunteers and working students. The department is involved in all processes of the house and works closely with the artistic area as well as the departments for mediation and cultural education as well as event management. The digital manager is in close contact with artists, curators and the management.
Your tasks include:
- Strategic and operational responsibility for the entire area of digital communication
- Management of a small team within the communication department with a video production and a working student
- Conceptual and editorial support for video and audio formats
- Editorial support for interviews with artists ( Fine arts and music )
- Content management and editing of the new website, which will be launched in early summer 2023, with the CMS Craft
- Content management and editorial responsibility of the social media channels
- Planning and designing digital projects in accordance with the strategy ( and others. Update of the digital appearance of the brand, opening up new social media channels and editorial formats )
- Management of digital advertising campaigns
- Management of digital analyzes and data reports for web and social media channels
- Support and support in the creation of digital documentation for exhibitions and public programs
- Planning and management of the digital budget
- Prepare public tenders
- Control of service providers in the digital area e.g. Graphics agency and film productions as well as freelancers
You bring this with you:
- Completed studies in the field of communication / marketing or an equivalent qualification
- Proven several years of professional experience in the field of digital communication and social media
- Experience in content creation
- Experience in digital communication of a cultural institution desirable
- High affinity for art and music
- Solid knowledge of relevant CMS systems and editorial tools
- Experience with image rights
- High level of responsibility, organizational skills, flexibility, initiative, decision-making and teamwork
- Analytical, far-sighted way of thinking and planning
- Negotiable knowledge of spoken and written German, very good knowledge of English, further language skills are an advantage
- Safe handling of all common MS Office applications
- Basic knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite programs
- Willingness to work at evening events and occasionally on weekends
