The Museum of Islamic Art in the Pergamon Museum is one of the most important and oldest collections of Islamic art outside the Islamic world. The internationally renowned house is unique in the German-speaking world. It houses, in an encyclopedic manner, masterpieces of art and objects of material culture, mostly Muslim societies and the Christian and Jewish groups living with them – including the most important architectural certificates. As part of the upcoming construction work in the Pergamon Museum, the collection is relocated. To support the preparation and support of the moves, we are looking for a museologist.
Your tasks
Perform museological tasks in the allocation planning of the new depots
Prepare, organize and document the relocation-related property relocations
Collection and control of data in the museum database
Development of forms, search queries and writing instructions in the museum database
Physical classification of the objects in the intended destinations
Your profile
– Completed university degree ( Bachelor, diploma ( FH ) or equivalent degree ) in museology, museum science or equivalent skills and experience
– very good application knowledge in dealing with the MuseumPlus museum documentation system or. RIA or comparable documentation systems
Desired
– at least three years of professional experience as a museologist: in
– high level of teamwork and organizational talent
– pronounced willingness to work independently
