Cultuurhuis KADE40 is located on the Westhavenkade in the center of Vlaardingen. City dwellers from young to old come to our building every week to relax in their free time. We also work in neighborhoods and schools. In this way we provide more than 80,000 creative contacts per year. Meeting, creativity, diversity, accessibility, inclusiveness and equality are our keywords. KADE40 is one of the largest cultural institutions in the city.
We work with schools, social organizations and providers from all cultural disciplines: music, dance, visual arts, theatre, heritage, literature and media. Through our activities and projects, children, young people and adults from the municipality of Vlaardingen can participate in or enjoy cultural education in all kinds of ways. Vlaardingen youth and residents who do not naturally come into contact with culture have our special attention.
We are looking for a Project Coordinator for 24 hours a week starting September 2023.
This is what you like to do
- You contribute to the conception, production and organization of a project or activity programme.
- You make proposals about the implementation and set-up of activities and elaborate them in a project plan. Think of making a budget and planning, including PR activities.
- You think about new exhibitions and organize them from idea to opening.
- You monitor the activity and evaluate in the meantime and afterwards.
- You support writing a grant application and identify great opportunities.
- You maintain contacts with partners and help build our network.
- You actively help to bring our projects to the attention, for example via press releases, website and social media channels.
This is you
- You can organize and plan well and are able to keep an overview.
- You have a creative mind and problem solving skills.
- You have an affinity with art, culture and the social domain.
- You are proactive, committed and flexible.
- You have knowledge of social media.
- You have HBO working and thinking level.
- You have a good command of the Dutch language.
- You can work independently, but you also function well in a team.
- You are also willing to work weekends and evenings from time to time.
- Preferably you come from / or you are familiar with the Vlaardingen region.
