
Project leader
The Cultural Participation Fund is a National Culture Fund that promotes active cultural participation in the Kingdom of the Netherlands. We enable cultural projects by providing grants. For example for strengthening cultural education in schools, organizing a theater festival in the district, or for a creative approach to new media and heritage. We are active in the field of culture education, culture participation, heritage and talent development. We contribute to a level playing field for different culture makers, forms of culture and ways of culture making. We work intensively with national and local partners.

At the Cultural Participation Fund we are looking for a ( freelance ) Project leader for a large-scale project to be set up: Fund for Cultural Participation in the region.
Are you an experienced, independently working Project Leader? Do you have experience with tendering and collaboration with organizational consultancies? Can you manage to oversee and make complex issues and large multi-year projects manageable? And would you like to commit yourself to a challenging project that promotes the accessibility of culture participation and culture education? Then we would like to talk to you!
Fund in the region
We want all citizens in the Dutch Kingdom to be able to turn to us as applicants. For this it is important, among other things, to be as accessible and accessible as an organization. By working better informed, near and in dialogue locally, the Fund can do better and more sustainable work. Our presence at regional level in combination with a flexible set of instruments that meets the various regional needs is made possible by the multi-year development project Fund in the region.
Function
We are looking for an experienced Project Leader who knows how to translate this complex issue and the challenging assignment that lies ahead of us into manageable sub-plans, which are carried out in conjunction. In 2023, the focus will be on preparing, tendering and coordinating research into:
- A multi-year development plan for regional distribution.
- Vision on ecosystem-based work.
- achievable goals.
- Required instruments.
- Method of monitoring and evaluation.
- Connection to the core activities.
- Anchoring in the organization.
The results form the theoretical basis and input for the approach and start of region-oriented activities. These can then develop iteratively and grow in range, for example through the use of pilots.
In the above you work closely with the Manager Development around thought formation and connection.
Profile
You are an independent, proactive and sturdy Project Leader who can plan and organize well, works in a result-oriented manner, manages to maintain an overview and is environmentally conscious and administrative sensitive.
You have experience in developing a contract formulation, tendering for research and supervising consultancies. You understand the quality of an organizational consultancy and the way in which you can test this for pitches and during ongoing processes. You fully understand what it takes to complete the process in a way that the next phase can be initiated, even if this means that someone else can better take over the baton.
You understand how policy-making works within the cultural sector and how cultural institutions relate to it. Experience with / with local and regional authorities is an advantage.
We offer
The Cultural Participation Fund offers experienced, fun professionals as colleagues. Collaboration is done via short lines. The hourly rate is in line with the market.
The assignment is for 24 to 32 hours per week until the end of the calendar year and can be extended in 2024 if mutually satisfied and a match on the follow-up order.
