The Board of Trustees are looking to appoint a new Director of Gasworks to lead an organisation that has an international reputation for artistic excellence across exhibitions, residencies and education in equal measure.
From April 2024, after 18 years at the helm of both Gasworks and Triangle Network, Alessio Antoniolli will shift his focus on leading the Triangle Network, creating a new role as Director of Gasworks. The Board of Trustees now seeks to appoint an outstanding new Director for the role, building on this legacy.
You will be an inspirational, inclusive leader, with a track record of successfully engaging broad audiences and communities within the contemporary visual art. You will also be committed to supporting UK and international artists so they can confidently make a significant new step in their professional career.

Reports to: Board of Trustees
Responsible for: Deputy Director, Curator, Communications Manager and Development Manager
Contract: Permanent, Full Time, 5 days per week. The Director will be required to work outside these hours for special activities or events; as well as to travel in the UK and internationally to attend relevant events. There will be no overtime payment for additional required hours worked, but time off in lieu will be given.
Hours of work: 9.30am – 6pm, Monday to Friday, (min. 4 days on site)
Salary: £57k – £62,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Start date: Contract starting 1st April 2024 with 6 months’ probation
