Role Purpose: Implementing the Spotlight on Culture Communications Strategy
Working closely with the Communications Manager, the Communications Coordinator will execute the communications strategy for the upcoming UK/FR Spotlight on Culture. Responsibilities include coordinating external and internal communications, encompassing media, PR, events, digital, and stakeholder communications. The objective is to enhance the awareness and engagement of the UK/FR Spotlight on Culture among existing and potential audiences.
Challenges & Accountabilities:
Under the supervision of the France Communications Manager and in cooperation with the British Council Head of Season, the Communications Coordinator will:
- Execute campaign strategies, both traditional and online, to maximize impact and share of voice.
- Manage social media communities, engaging with them daily and collaborating with the digital marketing team on specific initiatives.
- Produce and develop online content for social media channels and the Spotlight’s and French British Council website.
- Develop relations with national and local media and coordinate press-related duties.
- Support internal communication around the Spotlight locally and with the larger British Council UK office.
- Manage external communications agencies engaged in organizing and delivering the Spotlight’s program across France.
- Monitor and report on marketing KPIs for the project.
- Provide monthly, quarterly, and final reports for the overall Spotlight’s Programme.
- Facilitate successful internal communications around the Spotlight’s activities and impact.
- Champion the British Council brand architecture and Spotlight’s brand identity.
Requirements:
- Proficiency in French and English (spoken and written)
- Communications Qualification (or at least 2 years of communications experience)
- Experience in delivering communications within an organization
- Demonstrable experience in providing advice and guidance on internal and external communications
- Demonstrable experience in mitigating internal and external communications risks and issues
