Team Leitung Stiftungen & Kampagnen
The Städel Museum is one of the most significant art museums in Germany. Established in 1815, it is considered to be the first museum foundation in Germany. The museum houses masterpieces from the Middle Ages to the present. The Liebieghaus has a sculpture collection of the highest quality, providing an overview of 5,000 years of sculpture history from ancient Egypt to classicism.
Johann Friedrich Städel founded the oldest civic foundation in Germany with his will in 1815, the Städelsche Kunstinstitut. To this day, the citizens of Frankfurt and beyond follow his example and support the Städel Museum as sponsors, patrons, or donors. The role of the Engagement department is to demonstrate the diverse opportunities for support to the museum’s patrons and inspire them to contribute to important projects of the institution.
Financial support from foundations, primarily for our exhibitions, extensive educational and outreach programs, and restoration projects, is a central pillar of the museum’s financing.
To support the extensive fundraising activities of the Engagement department at the Städel Museum and the Liebieghaus Sculpture Collection, we are currently looking for a
Team Leader (m/f/d) with a focus on Foundations & Campaigns.
Responsibilities:
You prepare project-specific, tailored grant applications to foundations and the public sector and are responsible for their processing. You independently develop new campaigns for raising third-party funds – digitally and analogically – and implement them. You autonomously build and maintain network contacts, primarily in collaboration with foundations, and liaise with contact persons. In coordination with the overall management of Engagement, you develop new strategies and structures to further professionalize the collaboration with supporting foundations and expand the network.
Requirements:
You have a completed degree, ideally in the field of art history, and have basic knowledge of business and/or law. You have several years of professional experience in non-profit organizations, ideally in fundraising and foundation management. You are familiar with leading a team and work responsibly and systematically. You have your own network and enjoy expanding it. You are an experienced and confident individual and can move confidently in various societal contexts. You impress with your empathy, a committed demeanor, and strong communication skills towards our donors. You have digital competence and experience with contemporary communication media.
We offer:
A position in one of the most renowned art institutions in Germany. An extremely versatile role in an interdisciplinary and purposeful environment. A diverse, dynamic, and creative working environment. Work in a small, motivated, and friendly team. Opportunities for further education. The option to work from home (remote work). Flexible working hours in a 39-hour workweek. We value diversity and welcome all applications regardless of gender, nationality, ethnic and social background, religion/worldview, disability, age, sexual orientation, and identity.
