Overview
Situated on the outskirts of Paris, Fondation Fiminco has transformed a former industrial site into a vibrant cultural hub, encompassing residency programs, exhibition spaces, and multiple art galleries. Inaugurated in October 2019, this 11,000 square meter site, featuring five buildings, is expanding to include a 35,000 square meter extension, creating a dynamic cultural district.
Fiminco Foundation Residency
The foundation’s residency, inaugurated in 2019, is tailored for artists and provides curators with dedicated spaces, resources, and professional support. With a focus on fostering synergies, the residency includes production workshops covering various disciplines such as construction, ceramics, 3D printing, and graphic design.
Connecting Art Forms and Research
By emphasizing multidisciplinarity in art forms and research, Fondation Fiminco aims to establish connections between diverse art scenes. Curators in residence have the opportunity to contextualize their work within different creative contexts.
Application Procedure
Who Can Apply?
Fondation Fiminco invites applications from international curators with a notable professional body of work for a three-month research, creation, and production residency in Romainville. The residency period is planned for March to May 2024.
Screening and Selection
A professional jury, including representatives from the art and culture sector, will shortlist candidates based on their applications. Shortlisted curators will undergo video interviews in early January 2024.
