The Korean Foundation for International Cultural Exchange collaborates with international arts and culture institutions/organizations and Korean Cultural Centers with the aim of introducing and promoting Korean arts and culture through our Traveling Korean Arts (TKA) project.
Traveling Korean Arts: Journey of the Crossing Borders
The Traveling Korean Arts(TKA) is designed to support the global sharing of Korean culture. TKA promotes exhibitions of Korean performance/exhibitions as representing Korean arts and being ready to collaborate with international arts and culture institutions/organizations.
We announce the call for international partners in order to encourage the participation of international arts and culture institutions/organizations interested in establishing or furthering cultural exchange with Korea.

Program o Maximum of one application can be submitted annually. o The institution or KCC which was not selected for 2024 are not eligible for duplicate applications for its project year. o For performances, photos of the venue and a technical rider are required. o For exhibitions, photos and floor plans of the exhibition space are required. o A consent form for personal information collection must be included.

Evaluation Administrative assessment and document review by external experts
Selection Scale
- For 2024, a total of 50 projects (KRW 550 million) are planned to be selected
- For 2025, early selection will take place based on the program proposals that satisfy the feasibility criteria
- varied upon depending on the scale of the program
Selection Criteria Evaluation Criteria Score(points) Level of Collaboration and recognition from international cultural and art institutions (Including budget assistance, marketing support, and strategic planning) 50 Cultural impact of the program (Scale of museum actions and cities, linkages with diplomatic events, etc.) 30 Diversity of the project (Non-running programs, non-supporting countries, range of genres, etc.) 30 Performance history and feasibility of the applicant (Has executed/capable in handling similar projects, adapting projects to local context, etc.) 10 Total 100
Project Priority
- Projects for programs(exformance/exhibition) that have not toured yet
- Projects for the extended “Korean Pride” for details on programs and their ultimate goal.
- Projects proposed by overseas professional institutions previously introduced to Korea through the Traveling Korean Arts Plus(Culture and Arts Expert Invitation Program)
- High collaboration level from partners for budget, marketing, or planning, etc.
- Projects planned in conjunction with national events or linkages
- Projects developed in relation to significant art or city occasions
Support Details
Support Items o Budget support: Airfare, accommodation, transportation costs for performance/exhibition materials, etc. o Promotional support: Domestic and international promotion support (The amount of support may vary depending on the size of the project selected. Each project can receive up to 50 million performance; KRW 70 million for exhibition projects)

- The content of announcement may be subject to change depending on the schedule of the selection procedure.
- After the results are announced, the overseas tour support will be determined by coordinating.
