Key Features of the Programme:
- Duration & Space: Each selected participant will have a free 5-week period at the 222 sq ft in vitro space with high ceilings and necessary facilities.
- Support & Budget: Participants receive curatorial guidance, mentoring, and £1000 towards their project budget for expenses like fees, materials, and promotion.
- Equipment & Promotion: Gossamer Fog provides various equipment and collaborates with Enclave Projects for event and exhibition promotion.
Programme Interests:
- The programme is interested in all art forms but has a particular focus on the social and ecological impacts of new digital technologies.
- Curators are encouraged to engage in critical and speculative discussions aligning with Gossamer Fog’s interests.
Eligibility & Criteria:
- Early career curators, projects, and collectives who don’t currently hold a curator position in other galleries or organisations.
- Open to students, but they must commit to their project during the 5-week period.
- Applications from low-socioeconomic, BAME, LGTBQ+, and other underrepresented backgrounds are encouraged.
- Artists with curatorial practice can apply, but proposals featuring their own artwork are not accepted.
Application Requirements:
- The project must be public for a minimum of 9 days over 3 weeks.
- The budget should be exclusively for the in vitro project.
- Availability to work at in vitro during the 5-week period is necessary.
- Applicants must stay in London during the residency (no accommodation or coverage for these costs is provided).

- Deadline: 12th January 2024 at 11:59pm.
- Application to include a bio/CV, a written proposal, up to 5 images, and preferred 5-week period options.
