Job Overview

- Salary Range:
- Curator: $86,915 – $130,375
- Associate Curator: $65,291 – $74,286
- Assistant Curator: $52,000 – $61,000

Essential Functions
Collection Management
- Research and document Japanese and Korean art.
- Develop strategic acquisition plans.
- Ensure professional care of collections and loans.
Exhibition Organization
- Conceptualize and organize exhibitions.
- Oversee installation processes.
- Write various in-gallery materials.
Community Engagement
- Conduct lectures, tours, and seminars.
- Foster relationships with collectors.
- Participate in professional activities.
Administration
- Collaborate with curators and museum departments.
- Manage budgets and assist in fundraising.
- Represent the museum professionally.
Qualifications and Skills
- Education: Ph.D. in Art History preferred; M.A. with experience considered.
- Experience: Minimum four years in relevant museum roles.
- Skills: Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational abilities.
Working Conditions
- Majority indoor, climate-controlled environment.
- Extended hours during exhibitions.
Physical Activities
- Balance of stationary work and movement.
- Occasional lifting of up to twenty pounds.
