Overview
The Museum and Art Gallery of the Northern Territory (MAGNT) seeks a Digitisation Project Coordinator based in Darwin. The role is a key part of the Digitisation Project Team. Responsibilities include managing the movement, handling, and documentation of collection items professionally and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Overseeing the Digitisation team’s work, ensuring streamlined processes and responsiveness to issues.
- Collaborating with Conservation, Collections Management, and Curatorial staff to address handling and digitisation needs for various items.
- Handling project documentation within MAGNT’s systems.
- Updating records and performing data entry relevant to collection management, including data management, object movement, and conservation.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced in museum or gallery project management.
- Skilled in administering and using collection management systems, preferably KE Emu.
- Experienced in documenting cultural material and maintaining collection management records.
- Proven ability to manage a multi-disciplinary team effectively.
- Strong organisational skills, excellent communication, and interpersonal abilities.
- Knowledgeable about Copyright legislation and Intellectual Property procedures.
Benefits
