Responsibilities
- Collaborate on ambitious exhibition projects and programs. Tasks include research, preparation, assistance with new productions, and coordination with the technical team.
- Handle loans, contracts, international transports, condition reports, budgeting, and fundraising.
- Manage press and public relations. Update websites, produce newsletters, coordinate print media, and create press materials. The assistant will also handle correspondence and proofread texts in German and English.
- Develop and participate in innovative event formats.
- Conduct art education activities, including tours in German and English.
- Oversee annual gift production and booklet coordination, collaborating with artists and other professionals.
Requirements
- A university degree in Art History, Curatorial Studies, or related fields.
- Preferably completed an academic internship or have several years of experience in a similar role.
- Extensive knowledge of contemporary art and its discourses.
- Independent, structured, and precise work ethic. The candidate should be reliable, a team player, and an effective communicator.
- Proficiency in German and English, both spoken and written.
- Familiarity with Office programs and Adobe Creative Suite.
