Introduction
Onassis AiR announces its Open Call for 2024/25, aiming to support artistic research and address the current needs of its artistic community. Artists, curators, designers, and practitioners from various disciplines worldwide are invited to apply for this program in Athens, Greece.
Program Details
The Open Call welcomes a diverse group of professionals to Athens from September 2024 to July 2025. Onassis AiR fosters artistic processes by offering space, time, and resources for deep exploration without the pressure of producing a final piece. It encourages experimentation, speculative practices, and non-linear storytelling within a networked program.
2024/25 Offerings
The season offers three strands:
- Extended Research Residencies: Individual residencies lasting up to three months for creatives seeking focused time and stimulating conversations.
- Dramaturgy Fellowships: A three-month fellowship for research and development of new performance-based works in the expanded field of dramaturgy.
- Onassis AiR/ONX Fellowships: A two-month fellowship exploring the post-digital world through the Onassis ONX program, focusing on culture, technology, and human experience.
Support and Community Engagement
Selected participants will receive an artist’s fee, a research budget, housing, travel support, and opportunities for networking and engagement with Athens’ art scene. The program encourages sharing and exchange through Open Days and community involvement.
