Job Summary
Art Metropole seeks a motivated Executive Director (ED) to guide its next development phase. The ED will lead with a passion for artist-run culture, ensuring the institution’s mandate and history flourish. This role involves governance, fundraising, programming, community outreach, and day-to-day operations management. It offers a chance to influence contemporary art and join a sophisticated international community.
Responsibilities
- Manage artistic, financial, and administrative functions in partnership with the team.
- Develop income strategies to secure funding from various sources.
- Handle budgeting, programming planning, and grant applications.
- Act as the public face and maintain the organization’s mission and values.
- Report to the Board and support strategic initiatives.
Qualifications
- Proven leadership in arts management with a minimum of 5 years’ experience.
- Deep knowledge of contemporary art, non-profit operations, and artists’ publishing.
- Strong track record in grant writing and fundraising.
- Financial management expertise, including budgeting and forecasting.
- Skilled in strategic planning, policy development, and stakeholder engagement.
