UNIDEE and Cittadellarte – Fondazione Pistoletto invite applications for the sixth module of the residency program, Neither on Land nor at Sea. This initiative, curated by Chiara Cartuccia and co-curated with HUNITI GOLDOX, delves into the Mediterranean’s complex geographies and historical narratives. It aims to foster communal living and social transformation through artistic experimentation.
Programme Highlights
The Spring 2024 module, titled The Rise and Fall of Water, explores the intersectionality of lines and infrastructures. Led by HUNITI GOLDOX, participants will investigate ancient timekeeping devices and reflect on colonial territorial dominance. The program encourages exploring narratives through natural elements, promoting diverse world-building methods beyond industrial norms.
Participation Details
The program seeks up to 10 international participants from various backgrounds. Selection is based on the alignment of applicants’ work with the module’s themes and their ability to engage in communal learning and exchange. The residency offers a platform for expanding research and practice within a supportive community.

Practical Information
Participants will be accommodated at Cittadellarte, with access to communal spaces and cooking facilities. The program covers accommodation but requires participants to manage their travel and living expenses. Limited travel bursaries are available for those in need.

About the Mentors: HUNITI GOLDOX
HUNITI GOLDOX, consisting of Areej Huniti and Eliza Goldox, is an artist duo known for their work on the impact of political systems on water bodies and landscapes. Their projects often involve collaborative formats, including workshops and interventions, to reimagine dominant narratives and geographies.
