Introduction to Michaelis Gallery
Michaelis Gallery boasts a tradition of open and hosted exhibitions featuring works by young people, students, and professional academics and artists. The gallery fosters a discursive production and reception of art. It encourages analytical exhibitions that explore the relationship between artworks and various paracuratorial formats. These include interdisciplinary research projects, artistic research, and pedagogical activities.
Conceptual Approach
The gallery adopts a user-generated approach to content conceptualization. It involves peers and collaborators in creating exhibitions that provide multi-layered experiences. These experiences span both the physical gallery space and offsite locations. The approach facilitates collaboration with other cultural organizations, enhancing public engagement and discourse about the gallery’s programs.

Gallery Support
The gallery provides a clean space, walls, and limited access to AV equipment, including projectors, plinths, shelves, TVs, speakers, and headphones, depending on availability. Tools and lighting, along with promotion through the school’s website and social media, are also available.
Additional Opportunities
Exhibitors can enhance the educational impact of their exhibitions through activities like walkabouts, panel discussions, or workshops. While the gallery’s budget primarily supports the maintenance of spaces and resources, exhibitors with their funding plans are particularly encouraged to apply.
