Overview
Residency Vishni (RV) is excited to launch the 2024 Open Call for the “RV – Artists in Local Community Residency Program.” This initiative, driven by the Initiative for Independent Cultural Activism INCA Struga and Mini Pogon, Belgrade, receives backing from the “Culture and Creativity for the Western Balkans” (CC4WBs) project. Funded by the European Union, this project promotes dialogue in the Western Balkans by enhancing cultural and creative sectors.
Residency Schedule
- May, July, October: The residency program offers three distinct time slots.

About Residency Vishni (RV)
Residency Vishni is a newly established program situated in the picturesque Village Vishni near Struga in the Ohrid region. The residency aims to:
- Promote participatory art practices contributing to local community cohesion.
- Encourage cultural exchange between local and Western Balkan artists.
- Develop solutions that are aesthetically pleasing, sustainable, accessible, affordable, and usable.
- Support sustainable development and community involvement in Vishni Village, fostering new values and solutions for local needs.
Criteria for Applicants
RV invites applications from artists and cultural practitioners from the Western Balkans who are interested in engaging with local community members. The selection process will choose nine residents.
What RV Offers
- Pre-residency Support: Assistance in preparing for the residency stay
- Expenses Covered: Travel, accommodation, and food
- Support: Production support and work, meeting, and presentation space
- Engagement: Opportunities for two public presentations and collaboration with community members and cultural practitioners from the Ohrid region
