The Role of Programs Manager
This role is vital for the socio-economic success of Western Australia. The Programs Manager will develop and deliver various projects and initiatives aimed at strengthening the skills of members and other stakeholders. These initiatives are designed to support capacity-building within individual and organizational frameworks in the arts and culture sector.
The Programs Manager will collaborate closely with the Chamber team and key partners to drive these initiatives. The ideal candidate will be dynamic, enthusiastic, and committed to advocating for the Chamber’s strategic business goals.
Role Description
Program Development
- Design and implement a programming strategy based on the Chamber’s capacity-building audit.
- Oversee program development from concept to completion.
- Develop a revenue model to ensure the sustainability of these programs.
- Collaborate with the CEO to forge and nurture partnerships.
Project Management
- Take operational responsibility for the Chamber’s programs.
- Manage resources efficiently to keep projects within budget and on schedule.
- Monitor program success and make necessary adjustments.
Reporting
- Implement feedback mechanisms to gauge program success.
- Develop and maintain reporting frameworks for stakeholders.
- Generate detailed program reports and contribute to funding applications.
Collaboration and Delivery
- Ensure that programs meet the needs of Members and are successfully communicated and implemented.
- Work with stakeholders to develop beneficial initiatives and reporting frameworks.
Project Administration
- Manage program-related logistics, such as venue bookings and guest speakers.
Qualifications and Experience Requirements
- Proven experience in program development, particularly in organizing conferences and forums.
- Strong communication and digital skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Effective time management skills.
- A strong interest in the arts and culture sector, coupled with high integrity and a collaborative spirit.
- Police clearance is mandatory.
- Experience with Microsoft Office and databases is crucial.
- Desirable attributes include business development, events, and marketing experience.
