Overview
Phileas collaborates with museums, biennials, and art institutions worldwide to produce and exhibit new artworks. These artworks are then donated to public collections. This collaboration is facilitated through an application-based grant process.
Application Deadline
Applications for funding collaborations in 2025 should be submitted by 16 September 2024.
Submission Process
Applications must be submitted digitally using the application form available on the Phileas website. Completed forms should be sent via email to application@phileas.art.
Eligibility Criteria
Who Can Apply?
- Non-profit institutions (museums, biennials, and other art centers) located outside Austria.
- Applications from artists or commercial organizations are not eligible.
Eligible Projects
- Participation of Austrian and Austrian-based artists in international biennials.
- Exhibitions of Austrian and Austrian-based artists at international museums and non-profit art institutions. This includes accompanying publications, symposia, and public programs.
- Priority is given to solo exhibitions.
- Projects by international artists based in Austria in their countries of origin are not eligible.
