Role Overview
The Helga de Alvear Museum is seeking a Museum Assistant for Museography to provide technical support to the artistic team. The role involves tasks related to the conservation, security, exhibition, movement, cleaning, inventory, and documentation of artworks, as well as museographic control of galleries and storage spaces.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support for tasks involving artworks, including conservation, security, and movement.
- Assist in exhibition setups, inventory, and documentation.
- Support the museographic control of museum spaces.
Requirements
- Spanish or EU citizenship (or legal residency in Spain).
- Minimum age of 18 and not exceeding mandatory retirement age.
- High school diploma (Bachiller) or equivalent.
- Proficiency in spoken and written Spanish and English (minimum B2 level).
- Experience working in museums.
- Valid B1 driving license.
- Immediate availability.
- Physical capacity to perform the job’s duties.
- No disqualifications or disciplinary records preventing public employment.
Desirable Skills
- Knowledge of preventive conservation and artwork installation procedures.
- Familiarity with Windows Office (Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word) and Adobe tools.
- Competence in handling, moving, and transporting artworks.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
- High attention to detail, responsibility, and adaptability.
