Position Overview:
The Assistant Project Manager for Publishing will support the development of various content formats, including catalogs, brochures, and exhibition materials. The role ensures that all content is edited, translated, and ready for production, meeting deadlines and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in editing and preparing publications and promotional materials, including texts, captions, and catalogs, ensuring accurate public information access.
- Support the creation of exhibition materials, including editing and reviewing texts and organizing exhibition content files.
- Collaborate on publication scripts and coordinate with designers and contributors to oversee content organization and production phases.
- Facilitate production by liaising with proofreaders, designers, translators, and other stakeholders to ensure quality and timely delivery.
- Review and edit original content for publications and exhibitions, coordinate translations, and manage approvals with authors.
- Handle budget submissions, payment requests, and vendor communications to ensure project financial closure.
Requirements:
- Degree or Master’s in Publishing, Editing, Museology, or Art History.
- 2–3 years of relevant experience.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Proficiency in Portuguese and English (written and spoken).
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office tools.
