Glasgow Life is seeking a Learning & Access Curator to join the Glasgow Life Museums team and contribute to the exciting transformation project of the People’s Palace and Winter Gardens. The role focuses on developing and co-producing new learning and interpretation opportunities, enhancing audience engagement, and supporting community involvement in the redevelopment of the museum.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead audience development and community engagement initiatives.
- Collaborate with various partners, groups, and organizations to co-produce interpretation and learning programs.
- Act as an advocate for audiences, ensuring their needs are reflected in new displays, services, and learning programs.
- Work closely with the team to plan, develop, and deliver programs that highlight Glasgow’s social history and community engagement.
- Participate in the redevelopment project to help create a dynamic, community-led museum experience.
Candidate Requirements:
- Knowledge of best practices in interpretation and co-production within museum or heritage contexts.
- Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse partners and stakeholders.
- Strong communication and influencing skills.
- Experience in lifelong learning practices and understanding barriers to museum access.
- Creative, flexible, and problem-solving approach.
