The Creative Space Fellowship is designed for freelance curators and art historians employed in museums, providing an opportunity to conduct research related to collections or exhibitions. The fellowship offers a “creative scientific space” to reflect on and develop ideas and concepts related to the curatorial and artistic field.

Fellowship Details:

• The fellowship lasts one to two months and provides an allowance of €1,800 per month.
• Fellows will be expected to participate in the activities of the Zentralinstitut für Kunstgeschichte (ZI) and present their fellowship project.
• The start date of the fellowship can be scheduled individually but must begin within one year of acceptance.

Eligibility:

• Applicants must hold a PhD and have a permanent address outside Munich.
• The fellowship is open to freelance curators and art historians employed at museums.
